A lot of good people have gone from my life this year: writers, artists, thinkers who have influenced my life.
None of them compare with my dear brother, Alan, who died on 27th December.
Cheers, mate.
And thanks for everything.

((()))s. It is wonderful to read though that you were obviously close. It pains me to see so many siblings who haven't had the special relationship you must have had.

Sorry to hear that Graeme, it's such a sad time to lose anyone (as if there can ever be a good time to lose anyone!).
My thoughts are with you and wish you a Happier New Year

Thank you all, so much. It means a lot.
I hadn't seen a lot of my brother in recent years, but we always got on well and he was a proper big brother to me when I was a kid.
Graeme,
Truly so sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you.
Oh Graeme, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm thinking of you. X

Oh noooo... and somehow it's always worse at this time of year, too. I came over to say 'happy new year' but it doesn't seem quite right now so I'll just send you a cyberhug instead.
Many, many thanks to one and all for your kind words.
Only just picked up this sad news Grum. So very sorry to hear this. Thinking of you. x
